Jamna Pharmaceuticals is a trusted name in pharmaceuticals, specialising in Ayurvedic formulations, founded by Late Kaviraj Dr. S.K. Maheshwari, a renowned Ayurvedic expert and practitioner. With a legacy that keeps the tradition resonating through this ever-changing world, the company continues to serve mankind via its solutions that use the best of the world.

The story of Jamna Pharmaceuticals begins with Dr. Maheshwari’s grandfather, Late Vaidyaraj Shri Dhanraj Ji Dangra, a respected Vaidya from Khujner Tehsil (Narsinghgarh Riyasat) whose Ayurvedic medicines were well known for their efficacy. Inspired by his dedication, Dr. Maheshwari’s father established Maheshwari Rasayanshala in 1947 in Khujner, laying the foundation for generations to come.

Driven by the same passion, Jamna Pharmaceuticals was established on May 5, 1982, in Bhopal and later relocated to Mandideep, District Raisen (M.P.). Today, it operates as a GMP-certified facility equipped with a modern manufacturing unit and a fully integrated quality control lab. The company produces 68 proprietary and over 217 classical (shastrokt) Ayurvedic medicines under the guided supervision of experienced Ayurvedic professionals.

To meet the increasing demand, Jamna Herbal Research Limited, a sister concern, was founded in 1997 with a dedicated manufacturing plant in Mandideep. Committed to expanding the reach of Ayurveda, the company also launched Ayushman, a Hindi quarterly health magazine, in 2000, followed by a Gujarati edition in 2001. Ayushman is now one of Central India's leading Ayurvedic health publications.
